Import WorkOrder TS Online Server SSL Certificate into FireFox 2

Last Updated: 2009-03-05

Secure communication between your computers and the WorkOrder TS Online Server is ensured by encrypting all traffic via SSL certificates. The certificate is self signed and needs to be imported on each workstation for proper operation.

  1. Navigate to the login page of your WorkOrder TS Online installation. You will find the link and the login information in the E-Mail you received after purchasing WorkOrder TS. I will use the URL for the WorkOrder TS Online Demo here.
  2. You will now see a warning message the can not be verified as a trusted site. That is because the certificate is self signed and not signed by a "major certificate authority" ..... the security is the same.
    Click on "Examine Certificate"
  3. This step is very important, ensure that the certificate fingerprint matches the finger print you have received in your welcome E-Mail.
    The Fingerprint for is
    SHA1 Fingerprint: DB:A0:36:79:FD:BA:B8:E9:61:3D:EB:09:47:CC:A2:2B:CF:5A:34:55
  4. If the Fingerprint matches, click on "Accept this certificate permanently", then on OK
  5. That's it, close and re-open your web browser and you are communicating with the WorkOrder TS Online Server by encrypting all traffic
