WorkOrder TS 0.7.x - Important Changes

WARNING:
- WorkOrder TS 0.7.0 implements new login and database features which REQUIRE PHP5.
Do not upload version 0.7.0 if you are running PHP4.
- The installation process of WorkOrder TS 0.7.0 fails when doing a clean install with PHP5.3.
Upgrading on a PHP5.3 system works without errors.

Important:
  • The 0.7.0 release implements WO Code which is similar to forum BB Code.
    This features gives you the ability to easily customize ticket stubs,
    the company disclaimer and the content of notification emails.
    Please verify the following fields after updating:
    • Configure WorkOrder TS => Layout and Default Settings
      • Instore-Rate, Onsite-Rate, Disclaimer-Checkin and Customize Ticket Stub
    • Configure WorkOrder TS => E-mail and Upload Settings
      • Technician Notification E-mail, Customer Notification E-mail
  • Canadian Customers need to import the correct list of states after the update.
    Simply goto Configure WorkOrder TS => Layout and Default Settings
    scroll down to "List of States", click on "Canadian states" to load the list
    and click on "Save Configuration".
  • Search results, listing tickets by category and the store overview are now broken down into multiple pages.
    The layout requires a browser with valid css support. Test with Internet Explorer 8, FireFox 3.5, Opera 10 or Safari 4.
    Internet Explorer 7 and lower will not work properly.
  • WorkOrder TS is now using Boolean full-text searches when searching for Tickets or Customers.
    You can now search like this
    The + and - operators indicate that a word is required to be present or absent.
    When searching for a Customer ( Mirko Kaiser)
    • mirko kaiser => Returns all customers with names matching mirko OR kaiser
    • mirk* => Returns all customers with names starting with mirk
    • +mir* +kaiser => Returns all customers where the name starts with mir and contains kaiser
    • +mir* -kaiser => Returns all customers where the name starts with mir BUT does not contain kaiser, like Miranda
    When searching for tickets ( Windows )
    • windo* => returns all tickets containing a word starting with windo*
    • windows => returns all tickets containing the word windows
    • "microsoft windows" => returns all tickets containing the phrase "microsoft windows"
    • +wind* +micro* => returns all tickets containing words starting with wind and micro
    • +windows -mic* => returns all tickets containing the word windows BUT without any word starting with mic
  • The new timeout support works by allowing one final insert if an account times out.
    This will prevent the loss of information if the timeout occurs when editing fields.
    Expired login will now see a warning message if the next interaction will force re-authentication.
  • You may see the following warning message in your PHP log when running 5.3
    "Function ereg() is deprecated"
    This is normal and is only a warning message, ereg() will be replaced with preg*()
  • The information displayed when listing tickets by category and search results can now be configured via the control panel
    Configure WorkOrder TS => Layout and Default Settings => Ticket Overview Options
  • The height of ticket input boxes can now be customized
    Configure WorkOrder TS => Layout and Default Settings => Ticket Options
